Welcome to our BLOG! by Janet Graves, PSA President   In an effort to reach more parents the St. Denis-St. Columba School Parent School Association is starting to BLOG!!!  We are excited to share more detailed information about who we are and our upcoming events.   Who are we?   The SDSC PSA is made up of an Executive Board, Committee Chairpersons and you….our school parents!  Our Executive Board includes    Janet Graves, President  Lauren Schifini, Vice President  Heather Sulca, Treasurer Debbie Laski, Recording Secretary  Louise DiPalermo, Corresponding Secretary-Correspondence  Alexandra Sullivan, Corresponding Secretary-Publicity    Our Executive Board meets at least once a month.  We meet with committee chairs, schedule events, help with fundraisers and provide support to Sister Kathleen and the front office when needed.  All of our Executive Board members chair at least one committee including Back to School BBQ, Top Taste of Town, Outreach, Upper Hall Dances, After School Activities and more.    Our Committee Chairs are the parents who are raising funds, organizing outreach events, hosting family activities….and everything and anything in between!  We are truly Blessed to have so many parents dedicating their time to our school.  Our Committee Chairs include:   Teacher Appreciation: Marge Schifini Back to School BBQ: Janet and Denis Graves Spooktacular Fall Event: Andrea Lanzetta and Stephanie Braico Harvest Dance: Louise DiPalermo and Debbie Laski Daddy Daughter Dance: Christina Carrozza Mardi Gras Dance: Louise DiPalermo and Debbie Laski Doll’s Tea Party: Fiona Murray and Libby Kish Boy’s Event: Erin Lakatosh Star Wars Movie Night: Judy D’Alessandro BINGO: Yashira Cabral After School Activities: Alexandra Sullivan Ice Cream Socials: Christa Kennedy Family Dinner: Brendan O’Brien Spring Carnival: Andrea Lanzetta and Stephanie Braico Lego Club: Yashira Cabral Yearbook: Larissa DeVito Box Tops: Marge Schifini Magazine Drive: Ines Marinucci Top Tastes of the Town: Mary Ann Menuau and Judy D’Alessandro Christmas Shoppe: Tara Gigliotti and Coleen Murray Penny Challenge: Larissa DeVito Uniform Exchange: Cynthia O’Connor and Lauren Schifini Spirit Store: Lisa DeMelo Book Fair: Coleen Murray and Lauren Schifini Outreach: Louise DiPalermo and Lisa Marie Schulhoff Senior Citizens Luncheon: Mary Ann Menuau and Danielle Peratikos Hospitality: Aliceann O’Brien   Communication: It’s Our Focus   We want to make sure to have an open line of communication with our parents that goes both ways!  It’s important that we share information about upcoming events and we want the chance to hear what you have to say!     Be on the look out for PSA written communications like our PSA Newsletter that goes out the first week of each month.  The PSA Newsletter includes information on all events for the upcoming months!  It really is the best place to keep you up to date.  You can find a copy of the newsletter at www.stcolumba.net under the News.   Like us on Facebook @St.DenisSt.ColumbaPSA and get event reminders, photo’s of school events and so much more.  We will often post last minute changes to an event, like snow cancellations on Facebook.     The PSA has our tab on the school website, www.stcolumba.net.  We will post event flyers, sign up forms/sign up geniuses, treasurer forms and now…..our BLOG!  It is great idea to get in the habit of regularly checking the PSA tab on the school site to make sure you stay in the know!   Sign up for our BLOG for the most detailed and up to date information on PSA and School events.  The PSA Community BLOG will feature posts written by Executive Board members, Committee Chairpersons and others, that will give details of upcoming events and outline ways you can get involved.   We are changing up our PSA Community Meetings for the 2017-2018 school year….and we are excited!  The PSA Community Meetings are the best way to get face time with committee chairs, Board Members and other parents!  These meetings are op
